Chip Munn

Chip Munn is the chief executive officer of Signature Wealth, a growing wealth management community serving financial advisors, their teams, and their clients throughout the Southeast. He leads business growth across 15 office locations and mentors advisors and clients alike.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University with a degree in education, Chip began his career as a classroom teacher. He quickly realized that his entrepreneurial mindset, combined with his teaching skills, was a better fit for a wealth management career and transitioned into finance.

Chip has been consistently named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) as he and his partners have driven the expansion of the group from a small three-person team to a regional wealth management group with 55+ team members.

Chip often says, "None of us is as smart as all of us." He's built Signature on the foundation of a group effort, allowing his team to each contribute their own expertise. This philosophy has curated a culture-driven community that continues to thrive alongside Chip and his leadership team.

An advocate for the women in his life, Chip set an all-female board within his organization to launch the Women's Worth Alliance, a financial storytelling and networking initiative for women, in 2020.

Chip is the author of Leap Before You Look and The Retirement Remix and hosts The SignatureLife Show and Maximum Advisor, an advisor growth podcast. He regularly contributes to financial publications like Financial-Planning.com, Barron's, and The Street's Retirement Daily.

In his personal life, Chip and his wife, Trish, a photographer and WBTW News13 News Anchor, have four sons: Carson, Christian, Hampton and Turner. They love to travel, watch Clemson football, and spend time at the beach. Chip is also an avid reader and aims to complete more than 100 books each year.
