John, who co-founded StoneStreet Wealth Management in 2015, started his career in 1999 as a wholesaler with the Hartford PLANCO Group. He became a leader in wholesaling, which led to his move to Lincoln Financial Group where he became Divisional Sales Manager. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to National Sales Manager and Head of Fixed Sales. After years of managing multi-billion dollar businesses and constant traveling, John decided to stop working for Wall Street and start working for Main Street by joining with Ealon S. “Tripp” Thompson III to found StoneStreet Wealth Management in historic downtown Mooresville, North Carolina.
It is the mission of StoneStreet to help individuals and families to achieve their financial goals. To achieve this mission, John and Tripp consistently utilize their years of experience working together calling on the brokerage industry. This professional partnership is built upon their combined strengths and serves their clients well.
John received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Kutztown University in 1992. He also graduated from the Securities Industry Institute sponsored by SIFMA and the Wharton School in 2014. He is married and has two teenage children, whom he loves to coach on various sports fields and off. In between coaching his children, John continuously researches finance to best serve his clients.

Chip is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a degree in education and was selected as an Academic All American by USA Today[1]. He began his career in finance as a financial consultant with Wheat First Union in 1998. He specializes in retirement and education planning and the transfer of wealth among generations. In 2015, Chip was ranked among the top 10 regional advisors under the age of 40 by On Wall Street magazine[2]. This list, comprised of advisors from regional brokerage firms, recognizes advisors whose practices are the best in their field nationally.  Chip lives in Florence with his family. His community service credentials include secretary of the McLeod Foundation Board and a member of the Florence Downtown Development Board.  He has also held as past board positions with the Florence Family YMCA and The School Foundation.

[1] The All-USA College Academic Team honors full-time undergraduates who not only excel in scholarship but also extend their intellectual abilities beyond the classroom to benefit society. In 2015, Tripp co-founded StoneStreet Wealth Management. Tripp began his career in 1996 as a Financial Advisor with AG Edwards. In 1999, he transitioned to the institutional side of the business and was consistently one of the top wholesalers with The Hartford, The Phoenix Companies, AIG’s SunAmerica, and The AXA company. Following these successes, Tripp was recruited into management by Lincoln Financial in 2007. His drive and knowledge of the business allowed him to rise to the position of Divisional Sales Manager for the Northeast and Southeast divisions. Tripp joined with John W. Chidwick to found StoneStreet Wealth Management in historic downtown Mooresville, North Carolina. It is the mission of StoneStreet to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals. It is through their years of experience working together calling on the brokerage industry that John and Tripp are able to deliver on this mission. Tripp graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration. Tripp has been married to Vicki for over 27 years and they have two teenage children. In his spare time, Tripp enjoys watching his kids play sports and continually reading information on the financial markets around the world.

In 1991, Dick co-founded CP&S /Russell Advisors, the first Frank Russell Company advisory office in Charlotte, NC. Dick is a veteran of the financial services industry, having started his career in March of 1968 with the Ding’s Agency of Connecticut Mutual Life. He became an agency supervisor in 1972 and six years later began his investment –counseling career with Connecticut Mutual Life.

Dick began to specialize in investment planning and served as a Series 7 registered representative of Integrated Resources Equity Corporation. In 1990, he began laying the foundation to operate as a registered investment advisor of CP&S/Russell Advisors. He joined IFG/Russell Advisors, Inc. in 1995.

In 1970, Dick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in History, after earning honors in his major both his junior and senior years. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter Degree from the American College of Life Underwriters of Bryn Mawr, PA in 1972.

Dick is responsible for designing the prototypes of many of the point of sale pieces currently employed by Russell Advisor Representatives worldwide. He has been a lecturer in professional circles and a provider of continuing education to Certified Public Accountants.

Dick and his wife, Kitty, reside in Charlotte, NC. They have a daughter and granddaughter who also live in the Charlotte area.

Susie has worked with Richard “Dick” Megorden since April 1997. When Dick sought to increase the value proposition of his practice by partnering with StoneStreet Wealth Management in April 2016, Susie was an integral part of this alliance. She began her career in banking as a customer service representative and later pursued a career in accounting, working in management and administrative roles with two local accounting firms specializing in small business accounting including corporate, individual, and partnership tax preparation. In 1994, Susie accepted a position in the corporate accounting division of a local manufacturing company and was instrumental in implementing a new payroll system, managing payroll for 250+ employees, and traveled with the accounting team to conduct inventory control audits throughout the year.
Susie believes her years of experience in these areas have been of great benefit in her role with StoneStreet and their continued partnership with Dick Megorden. Susie’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the operations of the Charlotte and Mooresville offices and most importantly building relationships and providing the highest level of customer service to meet the needs and expectations of their clients; many of whom she has worked with for over 20 years.

In December of 2018, Kristin joined Signature Wealth Strategies and Raymond James Financial Services in order to focus her attention on and better service the clients of her financial planning and advisory practice. With the added resources and support from the Signature Wealth team, Kristin has the freedom to offer a greater level of commitment and dedication to what matters most to her: the welfare of her clients.

When she’s not working with clients, she’s spending time with her husband, Jesse, traveling or volunteering with RAIN, Inc. or with Promising Pages as a board member.

Kristin has a Bachelors of Science in Finance from George Mason University and began her career in financial services in 2006 with Smith Barney. She and her team eventually joined Wells Fargo Advisors, where she spent 7 years before leaving to develop and build an individual practice and build a team and an agency with Guardian.

Lewis is a native of Myrtle Beach, SC. He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. He began his career with Robert W. Baird in Minneapolis, MN as an Investment Officer. He later moved back to Myrtle Beach and became a Limited Partner with J.C. Bradford. A few years later he progressed to a Senior Vice President at First Union Securities until eventually joining the practice at Hilliard Lyons as a Senior Vice President in 2001. At Signature, Lewis oversees client portfolios for many of our clients located on the coast. Outside of work, Lewis is very involved in helping troubled youths and adults struggling with addiction and as such he serves on the Board of the Myrtle Beach Alano Club and Coastal Recovery Center. Lewis spends the rest of his time with his friends and family in the great outdoors. He enjoys traveling to Nebraska where he hunts ducks and geese as well as to Costa Rica where he is an avid surfer. Lewis and his wife Cathy enjoy exercise and practicing yoga, living and teaching healthy lifestyle habits to their daughters Brooke and Taylor.

He then joined his father, Bob Mitchell, at First Union Securities for six years. At Signature, Scott directs investment strategy for the team and oversees the research and management of individual stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Scott lives in Florence with his wife and two children. He is a member and past President of St. Luke Lutheran Church, member and past President of the Florence Rotary Club, and on the board of directors of the Pee Dee Area Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Though he was raised in Charlotte, NC, Todd started his professional career as a middle and high school mathematics teacher in Nashville, Tennessee where he lived with his wife, Jessica, after they married in 2007. Once they learned they were expecting their son, Maxwell, in 2013 they decided to move back to the North Carolina area to be closer to family. This move would shift Todd’s career from teaching to the world of finance.

He met Tripp Thompson, co-founder of what is now Signature Wealth Strategies Charlotte, one night by happenstance and they struck up a conversation which lead to Tripp offering Todd an opportunity to join the team as an assistant. It was here that Todd discovered his passion for financial advising, as it combined his affinity and talent for numbers with his desire to teach and help others.

From here, Todd worked hard to learn all of the ins and outs of the financial industry. After earning his Series 7 License, his Series 66 License and his Licensure as a North Carolina Life and Health Agent, Todd had grown into a valuable member of Signature Wealth. He takes pride in continually looking for ways to expand his knowledge and experiences to ensure he has the most up-to-date ways to advise his clients. In 2018, Todd took the opportunity to move his work to the Signature Wealth Strategies Hickory, NC office, where he continues to advise local clients.

Tracy Langley is originally from Allentown, PA and holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Florence Darlington Technical College. After graduating in 1996 she began her career at UBS Financial Services in Chattanooga, TN and quickly became one of the senior “registered customer service associates” (CSA) at her UBS branch. She joined the team in Florence, SC in July of 2007 and served as Branch Operations Manager. At Signature, Tracy serves as the practice manager and oversees the administrative staff and firm operations.  She is also a Registered Client Service Associate helping to deliver concierge level service to our clients. Tracy holds her series 7, 63 and 65 licenses. When Tracy is not working she spends her time with husband and child.

Danielle Gainey is a native of Darlington, SC. Before joining the team in 2014, she worked at Palmetto Government Benefits Administration for seven years and McLeod Regional Medical Center for seven years. At Signature, Danielle holds a Bachelor of Science from Limestone College, where she completed a triple major in Business, Business Management and Marketing.  Danielle serves as a Client Service Associate assisting Wealth Advisors in coordinating our clients' financial affairs.  She is a member of Central Baptist Church in Darlington, SC. In her spare time she enjoys running, spending time with her family, as well as photography. Danielle also enjoys helping the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Bobbie is a hybrid designer, developer, and online systems architect.  This unique skillset makes her a Marketing Powerhouse.

At just 20 years old she started her first business.  After becoming a top producer in Tennessee real estate, she progressed to an investor and naturally transitioned to a career in marketing.  She has more than a decade of experience working behind the scenes with internationally recognized marketing agencies.

Today she serves as the Director of Marketing for Signature Wealth, where she oversees the brand of all Signature Wealth branches and manages all print and digital assets for the organization.

Bobbie lives on the South Carolina coast with her husband and three young children where they enjoy laid back island living and exploring nature.

After graduating from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in business, he worked for several years in the real estate development industry. Prior to joining our team as a registered representative in 1998, he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina and pursued a career as a manufacturing manager at MEMC Electronic Materials Company in Spartanburg. Richard earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2012.

A past member on the board of directors for the United Way of the Piedmont and the Spartanburg Science Center, he is currently on the board of directors of the Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America, vice president of the Master Gardeners Association of the Piedmont, and a deacon at First Presbyterian Church.

Richard and his wife, Norwood, live in Spartanburg. They have two adult children, Lee and Andrew. When not working with clients, Richard enjoys working out, water and snow skiing, boating, fishing, and gardening.

Beau received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Clemson University and his MBA in finance and marketing from the University of South Carolina. Community involvement is important to Beau. He has served First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg as deacon, and in numerous leadership roles. Other activities include assistant scoutmaster, board member of the Palmetto Council of the BSA, president of the Music Foundation of Spartanburg, president of South Carolina Gamma Foundation and treasurer of the Clemson Area Retirement Center.

Beau and his wife, Ginger, reside in Spartanburg. They have two adult children, Martin and Emmett. When not working with clients, Beau enjoys hunting, snow skiing and gardening.

George is very active in the community, serving the United Way, the board at the Gibbs Cancer Center, and Wofford College.

In his time off, George enjoys time with family and friends. George is married to his wife, Sarah, and has three children, Cameron, Hall, and Clark.

Beth enjoys helping clients, whether by answering questions or making them feel welcome at our office. She brings seven years of administrative experience to the team from her time working at a church and private school office in Greenville, South Carolina.

She is grateful for the opportunity she’s had to study music and holds a bachelor’s degree in piano pedagogy from Bob Jones University in Greenville. A northerner from Michigan, Beth loves the outdoors, which made it easy to move to a warmer climate and stay in South Carolina after college.

With a love for animals, Beth especially enjoys dogs and plays fetch with her miniature dachshund after work. She likes to unwind with a good book, walk her dog, and find new recipes. If you have any Mexican or Italian dishes you think she should try, don't hesitate to send them her way. She lives with her husband, Ernest, in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Prior to joining Alliance Wealth Partners® in 2014, Steve was a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch for 13 years. Formally certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in both taxation and estate planning law, he brings unique knowledge and experience to the team. Steve was a law clerk to the Honorable James B. Stephen, a contributing drafter of the state’s college savings plan, as well as a member of the state treasurer’s office select committee to create the plan. He graduated from Wofford College with a bachelor’s degree in economics, earned his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and earned a Masters of Laws in Taxation from Emory University School of Law. He continued his education to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional.

Active in his community, and with ministry opportunities, Steve is a current board member and former chair of The Frances P. Bunnelle Foundation, prior chair of New Day Clubhouse, and served with numerous other entities. He teaches fifth-grade Sunday school and supports initiatives to create prosperous and holy communities in the U.S. and abroad.

A Spartanburg, South Carolina, native, Steve and his wife, Clare, have three children, Grayson, Olivia and Hampton.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Merry Boone has lived in North Carolina since 1997, and has been a financial advisor since 1999. She attended Baptist College of Charleston and graduated cum laude in 1986 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Merry also earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University in 1993.

In addition, Ms. Boone received the professional designation of AAMS®, Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM in 2004 and the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification in 2009.

Cash flow analysis is one aspect of financial planning that has interested Jon from the beginning. While at the Raymond James' home office in St. Petersburg, FL, Jon assisted two analysts in analyzing approximately 40-50 consumer-related companies. Jonnow assists his clients by identifying short, intermediate and long term goals and then creating an investment policy targeting those needs.

From 2011 to 2015, Jon served on the Leland Town Council. He remains excited about Leland's growth prospects and believes sound financial management is necessary when planning for future growth. As councilman, Jonwas council liaison to the LelandCultural Arts Committee. Jon also assisted Mayor Pro Tem, Pat Battleman, on the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Advisory Committee.

Ashley completed her education August 2013, to become a Financial Advisor and holds a General Security License, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. She is currently working toward her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification. Ashley’s attention to detail, self-motivation and ability to maintain a close rapport with clients makes her a valuable asset to the team.

Ashley purchased her first home in July 2015, here in New Bern, NC. She currently serves on the Craven Community College Foundation Board, is a member of the New Bern Young Professionals group and a member of New Bern Breakfast Rotary.

Brock Hall is an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM and Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc, in the Leland/Wilmington area.  While in college, Brock joined Raymond James Financial as an intern.  He completed both the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and then went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, with a double major in Finance and Management of Information Systems.  Most recently, Brock completed the AAMS® and works closely on a team with Jon Tait, CFP®, who has been with Raymond James since 2001.

As a financial advisor Brock’s main role is to develop financial plans that identify client’s short, intermediate, and long-term goals and then create an investment policy that targets those needs.  He uses a long term conservative approach that is tailored to each individual based on the stage and phase of life he/she is in.  Other job duties include market analysis, security selection process, serving his clients and community.

Outside of work Brock is involved in groups such as the Wilmington West Rotary, UNCW Alumni Association, Cameron Executive Network, and Habitat for Humanity.  Brock has played sports all his life, but mostly enjoys playing basketball.  He likes spending free time with friends at both, Wrightsville Beach and Downtown Wilmington.
