How do you empower your clients to live their Signature Life?

I serve everyday folks who know that a penny saved is a penny earned. The world of financial services is complicated, and I think sometimes purposely so. Before getting into this work, I saw what it’s like from the other side of the desk. Between industry jargon, pushy sales tactics, and confusing business practices, it can be hard to understand what you’re buying and how it all works.

As a Wealth Advisor, I have helped create Signature Life Plans for dozens of families. I have worked with others to create and implement low-cost and efficient portfolios of securities that meet our investment process. I have helped clients reduce their insurance expenses and increase their coverages.

Information and knowledge is power. If you know what you own, why you own it, and how much it costs, that can help you to make better decisions. Better decisions can lead to better outcomes, and that is our end goal: improved outcomes.

What does your life look like outside of the office?

I live in Sherrills Ford, NC with my family and enjoy wheel-throwing pottery and being active in the local community.

What can you tell us about your professional journey?

Though I was raised in Charlotte, NC, I started my professional career as a middle and high school mathematics teacher in Nashville, Tennessee where I lived with my wife, Jessica, after we married in 2007. Once we learned we were expecting our son, Maxwell, in 2013 we decided to move back to the North Carolina area to be closer to family.

FUN FACT:

Todd once auditioned to be on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” and despite his otherwise considerable trivia knowledge, he didn’t make it past the first round.
