Brock Hall, CFP®, AAMS®
Wealth Advisor, RJFS
How do you empower your clients to live their Signature Life?
As a wealth advisor, my main role is to develop individually tailored financial plans that identify client’s short, intermediate, and long-term goals and then create a living plan that targets those needs, what we call a Signature Life Plan. I look to work with those who have a desire to prepare for the future, need help and advice, and share a long-term investing perspective. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I act with a fiduciary standard, putting my client’s interest first. Other job duties include market analysis, security selection process, serving my clients and community.
What does your life look like outside of the office?
Outside of work, I am involved in groups such as the Leland Area Rotary, North Brunswick Chamber, Wilmington Chamber Ambassador 2019 & New Member Chair 2020, UNCW Alumni Association, Leadership Wilmington 2019, Port City Young Professionals, Cameron Executive Network at UNCW, CrossFit Wilmington. I have played sports all my life, but mostly enjoy playing basketball. In my free time, you can find me on a run, at a local brewery with friends, working on my golf game, or relaxing at Wrightsville Beach.
What can you tell us about your professional journey?
I started college, like many, not knowing what I wanted to study or pursue a career in. After stumbling into a finance course in which the students managed a $1M+ fund for the UNCW Cameron School of Business, I found a passion for portfolio management and started an internship at Raymond James soon thereafter. A couple of years into the internship through working with Jon, I fell in love with the process of building relationships and helping clients reach their financial goals. I transitioned to a full-time Wealth Advisor and a few years later earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which is where I find myself today.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a dual bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management of Information Systems. In college, I earned my Series 7, Series 66, and NC insurance/annuity licenses. Since then, I have earned my Accredited Asset Management Specialist, AAMS®, NC Long Term Care license, and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® designation.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
