Ashley Martin, Signature Wealth Strategies

Ashley Martin-Irizarry,

Wealth Advisor, RJFS

How do you empower your clients to live their Signature Life?

I want to know who my clients are, beyond just asset values and portfolio size. I like knowing what they hold most dear, and what motivates them to do the things they do. This helps me see what is truly important to them, and how best to help them build a plan that is unique to them. I then work closely with clients to figure out what their goals are. Once we know the goal, we can build a road map to get them from where they are now, to where they want to be.

What does your life look like outside of the office?

I spend most of my time with my husband Orion and our 4 kids. They are lots of fun and keep me very busy along with our two wonderful dogs that are part of our family also. I currently serve on the Craven Community College Foundation Board as the chair of the Budget & Audit Committee. I am currently a board member of the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of New Bern Breakfast Rotary. I love reading when I can find the time and I enjoy being involved in my church and the local community.

What can you tell us about your professional journey?

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University Stanislaus. When I moved to North Carolina in 2012, I started working as the Client Services Manager for the New Bern office. I completed my education in August 2013 to become a Financial Advisor, having my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, along with my insurance licenses. I went on to obtain my Series 9 and Series 10 licenses in recent years. I had the privilege of learning a lot of the business firsthand from Terry Tait, and will also count that as a blessing!
