Watauga Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity in Watauga County is not just about building homes but making an everlasting impact. Over the last several years, Habitat for Humanity has built 34 homes for families in need, and Signature Wealth has now been involved in 2 of those projects.
After talking with John about ways we could get involved in the community, we could not shake the idea of helping Habitat for Humanity again. The first time we were there, we helped paint the home and get it ready for move-in.
The second time around, John and I were excited to help in other ways, such as helping with siding, installing lights, etc. Wanting to really get our hands dirty, but as we were walking up the house, we realized we would be painting again. Anything to help with this home, but I think they know when we’re coming and plan painting around that. If anyone needs someone to help paint … I know a guy.
From getting to know the contractor, other volunteers, and the family to who the home will belong to was an incredible experience. This family has felt the love and support from their community, and this will continue for years to come. If you are ever thinking of ways you could give back and help make a difference, look into your local Habitat for Humanity, and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
